Olga Belyanina is a multimedia artist painting out of Philadelphia. Her work explores the awe we feel in nature and how color creates deeply individual connections with art. Olga’s paintings can be found in Germany, Austria, Russia, and across the United States.
Color at the core
My work revolves around color and how it makes us feel. Color can calm us, bring us back to our favorite experiences, make us happier. I am fascinated by how shaping colors creates deeply individual connections to art and the spaces around it. My process balances control and experimentation in building up color and watching the unexpected come to life. My favorite works are series that break down nature scenes into purely emotional, abstract color components.
Inspired by nature
The times I feel wonder in my life are most often in nature. Whether it’s everyday wonder at the shadows falling on my running trail or breathtaking awe at the mountains in Patagonia, I can’t help but obsess over the complexity of colors and light in nature. Through color and gesture, my paintings explore human connection to nature and the awe we feel in the outdoors.
Bringing stories to life
Every piece of art has a story. Whether the artwork is a representation of a powerful experience or a reflection of your personality, it’s an incredible privilege to bring to life a piece of your history that is aesthetic, permanent, and uniquely yours.
